If the name Stonebridge has so far eluded your guitar quest, you should seriously investigate!
Built in the Czech Republic by Frantisek Furch and his skilled team, these guitars epitomise the outstanding quality synonymous with European stringed instruments.
The OMS 32 SM is a Spruce topped beauty with solid mahogany back and sides. The soundboard is 'vintage aged'.
This new option is unique to Stonebridge Guitars. Frantisek Furch has partnered with a Swiss company that has developed a new patent pending drying process using micro-enzymes to eat the pulp out of the wood cells.
Cedar or Alpine Spruce tops are “vintage aged” to the equivalent of 80 plus years old using this new drying process. The sound is much more open and resonant. The wood also becomes non-hydroscopic, that is, it won’t take on moisture and is unaffected by changes in humidity. Incredibly stable!
This smaller bodied guitar has a clear deep tone with resonant basses, but tightens up the dreadnought boom, whilst still delivering great, balanced projection.
It's fingerpickin' good.
