The first Seagull guitars were built by Robert Godin in 1982, with a goal of creating guitars that above all else sound beautiful, but are also constructed with consistant attention to detail. These instruments are crafted in a community of guitar builders in Quebec, Canada.
The M Series models feature back and sides made from a three layer lamination of Mahogany with a centre layer of Wild Cherry.
